Cleaning and Maintaining Your Weight PlatesUpdated 7 months ago

Upon receiving our weight plates, it's common to observe an oily substance on the surface. This substance serves as a protective clear coat, ensuring the longevity of the product. Additionally, you may notice the inner contents of the weight plates appearing on the outer surface, which is a typical characteristic of cement weight plates. We recommend simply wiping the plates upon receipt to prepare them for use. Please understand that this is a normal aspect of the manufacturing process and does not indicate a defective product.

Cleaning Instructions:

  1. Wipe the surface of the weight plates with a clean cloth or towel to remove any oily residue or dirt.
  2. Use a mild soap solution and water to clean stubborn stains if necessary.
  3. Dry the weight plates thoroughly with a towel before storing them to prevent moisture buildup.

Maintaining Your Weight Plates:

  • Avoid dropping the weights as it can loosen the inner contents and compromise the integrity of the plates.
  • Store the weight plates in a dry and clean environment to prevent corrosion and prolong their lifespan.
  • Regularly inspect the weight plates for any signs of wear or damage.

Restoring the Exterior: Over time, you may notice wear and tear on the exterior of your weight plates. To restore their appearance and protect against further damage, we recommend applying silicone oil. Silicone oil will not only make your weight plates look brand new but also provide a protective layer against moisture and abrasion.

Application Instructions:

  1. Clean the surface of the weight plates thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Apply a small amount of silicone oil to a clean cloth or sponge.
  3. Rub the silicone oil evenly onto the surface of the weight plates, covering the entire area.
  4. Allow the silicone oil to dry completely before using the weight plates.

By following these cleaning, maintenance, and restoration tips, you can ensure that your cement weight plates remain in optimal condition for years to come. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team. We're here to help!
